Ingredients
  

• 1 ½ cups all-purpose flour

• 2 tablespoons sugar (optional)

• 2 teaspoons baking powder

• ½ teaspoon cinnamon

• ¼ teaspoon nutmeg

• ¼ teaspoon salt

• 2 large eggs

• 1 ¼ cups milk (or buttermilk)

• 2 tablespoons melted butter or oil

• 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

• 1 cup grated or finely chopped apples

Instructions
 

1. In a bowl, mix flour, baking powder, sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt.

    2. In another bowl, whisk eggs, milk, melted butter, and vanilla.

      3. Combine the wet and dry ingredients by stirring softly until the batter is mixed.

        4. Fold in grated or chopped apples carefully.

          5. Heat a skillet over medium heat and lightly grease it.

            6. Drop the batter onto the hot skillet and cook until bubbles show up.

              7. Flip to the other side and cook until both sides are golden brown.

                8. Serve warm with syrup, butter, or toppings.
