• 500 grams ground meat (beef, chicken, or turkey)
• 1 cup cooked rice
• 1 medium onion, finely chopped
• 3 cloves garlic, minced
• 1 egg
• 1 teaspoon salt
• 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
• 2 tablespoons chopped parsley or dill
For the Sauce
• 2 cups of crushed tomatoes or tomato sauce
• 2 tablespoons tomato paste
• 2 cloves garlic, minced
• 2 tablespoons olive oil
• 1 teaspoon sugar (optional)
• Salt and spices to taste
