  • Dough scraper
  • Measuring Cups and Spoons
  • Parchment Paper
  • Baking tray
  • Stand mixer (optional)
  • Pastry Brush

Ingredients

• 3 cups all-purpose flour

• 2 tablespoons sugar

• 1 teaspoon salt

• 2 teaspoons instant yeast

• 1 cup warm milk

• 3 tablespoons melted butter

• 1 large egg

• 1 tablespoon sesame seeds

• 1 tablespoon melted butter for brushing

Instructions

1. Add warm milk, sugar, and yeast to a large bowl and combine well.

    2. Let the mixture rest until slightly foamy and bubbly above.

      3. Add flour, salt, butter, and egg into the prepared yeast mixture.

        4. Mix ingredients well until a soft dough forms inside the bowl.

          5. Knead dough gently until smooth, elastic, and slightly soft throughout.

            6. Transfer the dough into a greased bowl and cover with a clean cloth.

              7. Let the dough rise until doubled in warm and draft-free surroundings.

                8. Punch the dough lightly and shape it into equal round dough portions.

                  9. Shape the dough portions carefully and arrange them evenly on lined baking trays.

                    10. Cover shaped buns lightly and allow a second rise until puffy again.

                      11. Brush the bun tops lightly with egg wash for a beautiful golden color.

                        12. Sprinkle sesame seeds evenly over prepared hamburger buns before baking begins.

                          13. Bake the buns until golden, soft inside, and lightly crisp on the outside.

                            14. Brush warm buns using melted butter for a softer bakery-style texture.

                              15. Cool buns completely before slicing and serving with favorite fillings.

                                Notes

                                • Fresh yeast gives homemade hamburger buns a lighter and more airy texture.
                                • Slightly sticky dough produces softer and more tender baked buns.
                                • Using less extra flour during kneading helps create a better bun texture.
                                • Warm surroundings help dough rise faster and more evenly throughout.
                                • Sesame seeds add crunch and a classic bakery-style burger bun appearance.
                                • Airtight containers help cooled buns stay fresh, soft, and delicious for longer.
                                • Freeze extra buns carefully for quick and easy homemade meals later.
