Equipment

  • Rolling Pin
  • Parchment Paper
  • Baking tray
  • Knife and chopping board
  • Brush (for oil or butter)

Ingredients

• Pizza dough – 1 large portion

• Olive oil – 2 tablespoons

• Mozzarella cheese – 1½ cups, shredded

• Bell peppers – 1 cup, sliced (mixed colors)

• Mushrooms – 1 cup, sliced

• Spinach – 1 cup, chopped

• Onion – 1 medium, thinly sliced

• Black olives – ½ cup, sliced

• Garlic – 2 cloves, minced

• Italian seasoning – 1 teaspoon

• Red chili flakes – ½ teaspoon

• Salt – ½ teaspoon

• Black pepper – ½ teaspoon

• Marinara sauce – for serving

Instructions

1. Preheat the oven to 200°C and line a baking tray with parchment paper for easy handling.

    2. Roll the pizza dough on a clean, flat surface into a large rectangle, keeping the thickness even throughout.

      3. Lightly sauté mushrooms, spinach, onions, and garlic until soft and the moisture is reduced.

        4. Spread the cooked vegetables evenly over the dough, leaving a small border on all sides.

          5. Sprinkle mozzarella cheese, olives, and seasonings evenly over the vegetable layer.

            6. Roll the dough tightly into a log shape, making sure the filling stays inside.

              7. Seal the edges carefully and place the Stromboli seam-side down on the tray.

                8. Brush olive oil on top and cut small slits to allow steam to escape.

                  9. Bake until golden brown and crisp on the outside.

                    10. Let it cool slightly, then slice and serve warm with marinara sauce.

                      Notes

                      • Do not overfill the dough as it can tear while rolling and baking.
                      • Always pre-cook vegetables to remove excess moisture and avoid sogginess.
                      • Seal the edges tightly to keep the filling secure inside.
                      • Place parchment paper underneath to prevent sticking and make cleaning easier.
                      • Allow slight cooling before slicing for neat and clean pieces.
